 | LATEST NEWS 4 January 2007 Congratulations to Tina and Molly from the Senior Class who achieved a 15th Place in Grade 1 Jumping at Southdown Agility Club on 30th September 2007. Click here for a photo. Following success at Barcombe in August Rosemary and Balti achieved an 8th place in the agility class at Rother Valley Show on 16 September. Congratulations must also go to Immy Butterworth and Jasper, from the beginners class, who had a clear round in the jumping class at the same show. This was Immy and Jaspers very first show.
2 September 2007 Tamsin French with Balti, from the Beginners Class, is the first Mid Sussex Agility Club member to compete in a competition and at the Barcombe Show held on 12 August had a 6th place in the agility class. Congratulations to Tamsin and Balti and good luck for the future. Hopefully this will encourage other members to compete.
6 July 2007 Mid Sussex Agility Club were once again asked to attend the Dogs Trust Fun Day held in Shoreham on 1 July 2007. The committe along with some club members gave people the opportunity to try their hand at some basic agility and despite the awful weather were kept busy throughout the afternoon. 6 July 2007 On 25 June Mid Sussex Agility Club held a Fun Agility Competition which was well attended by the members who all had a great time. Four classes were run with Val Bolton and Brian Anderson both judging two classes each. Prizes and place cards were handed out by Val Bolton, Carole Lewry and Tony Barnes. Congratulations to the winners of each class and all those who took part and remember there is always next year! 30 December 2006 On 11 December Mid Sussex Agility Club held their Christmas 'Doggy' Party which was well attended with all the dogs (and owners) joining in the fun and games and having a great time. This was followed by food and drink in the club room. On the 15 December it was the turn of the 'Humans' who enjoyed a Christmas Meal at the Red Lion in Ashington. Again this was well attended with everybody entering into the Christmas spirit. Photos from both events can be found here.
1 July 2006 On 24 June 2006 Mid Sussex Agility Club gave a demonstration of Agility at Dorking. It was an early start with all the committee members turning up at the Club to pack the equipment for the journey to Dorking, The Club were asked to do two demos which included an agility course and a more simplified relay race which everybody seemed to enjoy. 2 May 2006 We have added a guide to the Agility Judging Rules which gives the reasons for faults, refusals, eliminations and time faults. (Thanks to Karen for supplying the guide).
15 February 2006 We are planning to add an agility results page for members on the site in the near future, so don't be shy, if you have any success at agility shows send the details to webmaster.midsussexagility@ntlworld.com In the meantime one piece of news. Carole Lewry qualified Blitz for Crufts (2007) at the Southern Counties Bearded Collie Club Champ Show on 4 February.
